Here I Am

My board is BSC.  I know it's been passed around TheBump, but it's true.  There are some very special ones on April '14.  Don't get me wrong,  there are some amazing ladies there too.  But, right now, the looney toons are running amuck.

I never understood how grads just seemed to drop off the face of the planet.  But I do now.  Even though I lurk TTGP, I'm no longer a part of that board (and it's amazing how quickly I don't recognize posters!), since I can't contribute to threads on a daily basis.  1st Tri is full of post about symptoms, miscarriage scares, and people I don't know.  My BMB should be the one place I feel "at home" on TB now, but I don't.  There are so many ladies who joined after finding out they were pregnant and it's their first time on TB.  It's navigating a board predominately composed of newbs.  Our UO and FFFC threads are topics I've seen hashed out numerous times before.  There's only so much, "This blog is a place for support so why can't we all just be nice to each other?"and debates about spanking/gay marriage/what can that person buy with food stamps, this lady can take.

So until then I'm laying low.  I haven't disappeared.  I'm still dirty lurking.  And I promise not to be a grad who documented every moment up until the BFP and then not share the pregnancy journey.

You're not getting rid of me that easily ;)

  1. I get exactly what you mean about TB. I miss ttgp. I don't feel like I fit in anywhere else. Good to know I'm not the only one dirty lurking :)

  2. I hear ya. I felt the same way during the short time I spent on Jan. '14. There were a lot of ladies who joined after getting their bfps and they had never been on TB before. It was strange to be surrounded by so many newbs, but there were some TTGP grads there too, so that helped. Hopefully some of the crazies will drop off your BMB and you'll be able to feel more at home there.

    1. By "drop off" I meant that hopefully they decide they don't like TB and leave. I just realized that could've been taken the wrong way.

  3. Guuurl. You better get your snark on. Those looneys need not run the board.

    PS. I love you.

  4. I like my Feb14 board. A lot of the ladies there are supportive. It was pretty redundant at first with all the symptom questions etc but now that we've hit 2nd tri alot of it has dropped off. I do miss TTGP though so I do understand that.

Hopefully the April board gets better (I have seen some crazy stuff from over there) Good luck sticking it out!!
