Viability Day!

How far along: 24 weeks.

Baby is the size of a: Cantaloupe.  Baby is starting to look more like a real baby with pink, opaque skin.  I'm wondering how big our little one has gotten since TB just keeps telling me baby is 12.7 ounces, and we know baby was at least 15 ounces, 4 weeks ago!

Maternity clothes: I think normal clothes are coming to a swift end.  I have a few shirts I'm rotating through, but as this week's picture shows, that shirt isn't going to last long.  Nor are many of the rest.  Thank goodness for the lot my friend gave me.  This week's pants are part of that :)  I think a few more trips to expand my closet are desperately in order.

Stretch marks:  Nothing new

Sleep: Not bad.  I've finally found my perfect sleep-to-pillow ratio and I'm sleeping pretty well most nights.  I think I've also come to terms with side sleeping.  It's not my favorite, but it's not leaving me as sore as it did in the beginning.  Hopefully this trend continues.

Symptoms: RLP is a regular occurrence.  Especially after a long day of being on my feet at school.  Normally seems to flare up when I'm walking the pup as well.  Sometimes we have take a breather before continuing.  I also have to pee.  A lot.  Other than that, I've had a pretty easy pregnancy (fingers crossed).

Just for fun, I decided to do a bump comparison.  See for yourself:

Best moment of the week: We had a bunch of friends over this weekend.  We've known most of these people since high school and as the years go on, it's rare for us all to gather together in one place.  But luckily everyone's scheduled lined up and we had a great cook-out Saturday night.  There were fifteen adults and five kids, ranging in ages from three years to three months.  It was wonderful seeing everyone and knowing that even though we're transitioning into roles as parents, we can all still come together and have a good time.

Miss anything:  Would have loved a glass of wine at our cookout Saturday.  But alas, I had to settle for a Sprite.

Movement: Yes.  Daily.  My favorite moments are when I have something balanced on my stomach (like this laptop) and I can feel baby kicking right there!  Little stinker obviously doesn't appreciate the weight of a computer on his/her head.  Or butt.  Or wherever.  Anyway.  Sometimes it still surprises me that there is a little person in there.  Feeling baby is the most awesome feeling in the entire world.

Cravings/aversions: Nothing new this week.  Still loving peanut butter.  Still loving milk.  Still loving cereal.

Belly button in or out? In.

Sex: Still no inclination.  Starting to think I'll only know for sure in once baby makes his/her debut.

Mood:  Great!  Making it to viability day feels like a big milestone.  Although there's still a long way to go, it feels good knowing that we've reached this point.  School is still hard and wears me out most days, but it gives me a boost to know that everything is going well with baby.  Life is good.
