Baby is the size of a: Grapefruit. Baby is now listening to my heartbeat and voice. Baby can even hear loud noises like cars honking or dogs barking (think baby knows he/she has a furry pup for a sister?).
Maternity clothes: Still rocking my regular clothes with a few maternity pieces thrown in. The dress I'm wearing this week is an oldie. I'm trying to get as much use out of my normal wardrobe before transitioning. However, my teacher friend did give me her clothes (boy, were there a lot of them!) and I'm trying to sort through everything. I have a feeling quite a few pieces will be slowing making it into my normal rotation.
Stretch marks: Just the old ones for now.
Sleep: Ok. My right side still goes numb if I sleep too long there, but I don't feel like I can always sleep on my left side. I'm still making a pillow mountain around myself and that seems to help quite a bit. I slept solidly from 9:30-4:30 last night, which was AMAZING! Now if I can get H to stop snoring, sleep would be perfect! ;)
Symptoms: Just a baby that keeps increasingly spending it's day kicking me. Last week baby was horizontal (I could feel movement on either side). Sometime this weekend, baby went vertical, because now movement is all top and bottom of my bump. It's kind of crazy to know there's a little person in there swimming away. Overall I'm feeling pretty good. RLP seems to hit at random times throughout the day, though. Hard when you're trying to run around after kiddos.
Best moment of the week: I had a great weekend. On Saturday morning I went with my SIL to a Mom's tag sale at a local school. They had a TON of stuff for sale. I didn't get much, but I did snag a closet organizer, 4 outfits, 5 books and a wooden toy for under $20. There's another sale coming up in two weeks. After the sale, H and I worked at our church's Oktoberfest until later afternoon. On our way home we called in, and then went to pick up, a pizza for dinner. Unfortunately when we got there, they had lost our order and didn't have it ready. But, they said if we were willing to wait, they'd made it for free (score!). So, while we were waiting in the car for our yummy food, baby started kicking like crazy. I grabbed H's hand and immediately felt a hard kick. And he felt it too!! First time! :D :D Hands down the best moment of the week.
Movement: Whoops. Guess I already answered this one above. But did I mention that my H finally felt baby?? :D
Cravings/aversions: Captain Crunch is seriously the best. Obviously between the peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and Captain Crunch for my snack, I have reverted to a small child's eating habits.
Belly button in or out? In.
Sex: No idea. No cares. People keep asking if we know and it gives me a little thrill every time to say that we're not finding out.
Mood: Hopeful. Last week was a hard week at school. I'm having a tough time transitioning to teaching two subject areas. Especially while being pregnant and feeling like there's a lot of things I need to get done at home. Lesson planning on the weekends is helping, but I just haven't found my groove yet at school. This is my 9th year teaching, so I know what I'm doing, I just can't seem to get it all to click yet this year and it's driving me crazy. But, after such a great weekend, I'm really hopeful things will fall into place this week. If not.... well I guess I have a break coming in January. Ha!

Your bump is so cute!!! and YAY for DH feeling baby! =)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing, as per usual! Hurray for your H feeling baby!!! So so cool!
ReplyDeleteKhaleesi barked a ton when we brought her home. I remember the first night she did it Claire was losing her mind in my ute. It's funny, barking doesn't phase her at all now that she's here. Hopefully your baby will be the same :)
I hope! Elsa doesn't bark too much, but she loves saying "hi" as people walk by our house.
DeleteYou look awesome, Sun!! I may have got a tad choked up reading about your H feeling baby kick - what an amazing feeling that must be! Andplusalso, woo hoo for free pizza!
