We Have a Heartbeat!

Today at 5w5d, we had our first ultrasound.  I'm not going to lie, heading to the appointment, I was a nervous wreck.  Over the last couple days a million different horrible scenarios have run through my head (one of the sad facts after a year+ on TB hearing about all the things that can go wrong).

But, luckily, everything is looking amazing at this point.  You could even see the flicker of the heartbeat.  I can't describe how reassuring it was to see that little flicker.  That little flicker is our baby :)

I know it's not much to look at yet, but you can just see the outline and the RE's measurement lines.  Here's our bean:
